the sky is falling...

oh wait, no, its actually just water pouring from the ceiling in our bathroom. phew...now i can relax.
no, wait, water isn't supposed to pour from the ceiling in our bathroom, its supposed to pour from the faucets, and only when i tell it to.
good...great! and its friday, which means i can't even complain to our management company until monday. freaking awesome. i wonder how they are going to feel about the fact that our bathroom needs to be completely taken apart so they can put in a new floor and a new ceiling, not to mention fix the leaking pipes that are causing this problem in the first place.
"my ceiling, she cries, all of the time."
one of these days bushwick, one of these days...

We keep it 64 degrees round here. I am sorry the ceiling cries, but that does not mean you should not answer. How warm do you keep your apt?

the crying ceiling was actually a reference to a david sedaris essay in which he's talking about the french language class that he's in.
one of the students said something in french about a leaking toilet whose english equivalient was, "my toilet, she cries, all of the time."
as far as temp goes, our thermostat isn't really accurate, we just turn the heater on for a little while when it gets cold.

Remember that nasty assed towel our sink used to leak on in 15 College Street until we replaced it with a big bowl no one ever used again?

My neighbors here in Wasilla have told me to expect, as the weather turns colder and the septic tank leaches less, a massive, unexpected, and completely apocalyptic backup of the toilets. I look forward to it, with every type of dread you care to name.

I need to buy a high-volume garbage can. Or some sort of toilet-plug. On a stick.
