update...quickly

so, we're here, we're painting, we're decorating, we're registering for classes, we're trying to cover all of our 14 windows so the people on the street below and the construction workers on the rooftop across the way don't see us naked. the apartment is awesome, unfortunately the computer is not.
had to send it back to apple again for the same problem. requested a new computer, essentially got laughed at. if it happens again i'm gonna bust some heads. meanwhile, we start school on tuesday, we don't have a computer and we don't have an internet connection yet. the latter seems much less important primarily because of the lack of computer. in time though, we will re-enter the 21st century.
the cats are doing well and the decorating is really coming along. we're still missing one 6'x6' bookshelf that we had wanted, but the problem of getting it from ikea to brooklyn became much more complicated when my parents expressed their terror at the idea of driving in the city. nevermind the fact that i personally had to drive a 14 foot u-haul down 5th ave in the middle of the day on the friday we moved in. fun times...we'll see what happens.
pictures will follow when the apartment is clean and tidy...and when we have an internet connection and a computer.
